Glider Training — Private & Commercial
Regulatory Reference 14 CFR Part 61, Subpart J ↗I instruct gliders as a club CFI at Skyline Soaring Club in Front Royal, Virginia. Unlike my airplane instruction, glider training takes place through the club rather than as private one-on-one instruction — but the teaching philosophy is the same: real skills, real currency, real progress.
I offer training toward the Private Pilot Certificate (Glider) and Commercial Pilot Certificate (Glider), for both ab initio students and certificated pilots adding a glider rating.
Note: There is currently a 12–18 month waitlist for non-glider-rated pilots. If you're already glider-rated and looking to build hours or work toward a commercial, availability is generally better — reach out and we'll figure out timing.
